About the Artist

For the past 25 years, Reza Ardalan has captured many types of images, from landscapes to portraits using a range of styles, looks and techniques. Yet with all of his variety, he still marvels at a photograph's universal appeal. "no matter the language or the age of a person, a strong photo has the ability to impact any and all to simply, stop, if only for a moment. To observe, to marvel, and sometimes take your breath away. And that, is a beautiful thing." He goes on to say, "I've been  active on Monegraph since the beginning", he has found the platform to be a second home for his images.

Reza often uses limited edition licenses on some of his best work, preferring the level of control and provenance provided by that approach. "I fell in love with photography at the age of 15 while exploring the streets of New York City. Diving into the city’s creative current really influenced me to learn the craft and most importantly to develop my taste. After graduating design school, traveling became my next great teacher. Seeing the world through a lens and an open mind has been transformative to say the least. It’s made me realize what the most important thing in life is. This fleeting moment called Now."
